CONTENT WARNING: Genitals and Sensations from them. I recently happened across a post on Reddit where a Redditor asked some questions to people who have had Gender Confirming Vaginoplasty (as I have). These are my answers to her questions.
Q: Why is gender reassignment surgery advocated to be “required” for health insurance purposes, but “not required” for legal purposes?
The term I think you mean to use is “Medically Necessary”. Whether a medicine or procedure is medically necessary is a question best left to the patient and their doctors.
See You Next Time!

Why I am having bottom surgery
This may end up being the biggest life-changing event of my life, and there is a lot of anxiety and fear as I approach it.
I've been asked many times some variation of a fundamental question: why do you need to have this surgery?
The short answer: because I do.

Two years on HRT!
I recently reached the 2-year anniversary of starting Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), so I'm taking a moment to see how my life has changed in these two years.
