It's really disheartening when you're watching a tv show or a movie and a transphobic joke is made. It's typically along the lines of "Oh my god she used to be a man!" Inferring that being tricked into being attracted to a trans person is the most humiliating thing ever. / The joke tellers seem to view us as jokes. It's a subhuman way to take advantage of a marginalized group. It's also a very lazy form of writing. / Time to move on.
